Computer Diagnostics ($40)
Our team can determine the overall health of your system, or identify any problems.
Virus Removal and Optimization ($100)
Let us help remove viruses or bugs present in the system and try to enhance the performance of your device through minor system tweaks.
System(OS) Installation ($60)
We can help install/ update your device to a new operating system if the previous version has been corrupted, or is causing issues.
Hardware Installation ($60)
We can set or replace any type of replacable hardware including RAM installation.
Data Transfers (Price varies on device)
We can help transfer data from one device to another (exclusions may apply).
Data Recovery ($150)
Don't panic! We can try to recover any lost or corrupted data.
IPhone Repair (No fixed cost)
Let us help repair and/or install iOS onto your iPhone. Services include: Screen repair, battery replacement, data transfers, and security updates.
Game Console Repair (No fixed cost)
We can repair screens, batteries, controllers, and most other repair services: including fans, buttons, and storage upgrades. May take up to 1-2 business days depending on part availability.

How do I know if my device is eligible for service?
The UTech Service Center aims to provide timely service for most equipment. This work will often be done on-site, though in some cases it may be sent to an authorized service provider if needed (especially when required by warranty). You can verify your desired service’s eligibility by calling the UTech Service Center at 801 581-5458 or e-mail the UTech Service Supervisor at rlleras@campusstore.utah.edu for a prelimanary diagnostic
How long will it take to get my device serviced?
- Diagnostics typically take between 1 to 2 business days.
Repairs typically take 1-2 business days once parts arrive.
iPhone screens are same-day service.
Warranty Work
Some vendors require certain equipment and/or parts be repaired by their service department. (Software is not covered under warranty service - see software license for software warranty information). The UTech Service Center will provide timely service for all equipment. This work will be done on-site, in-shop or, in some cases, sent to a different authorized service provider. If we can not reproduce the problem there will be a checkout fee charged. Please call the UTech Service Center at 801 581-5458 or e-mail the UTech Service Supervisor at rlleras@campusstore.utah.edu for a prelimanary diagnostic before bringing the device in.
On-Site Warranty Repairs
Some vendors offer On-Site Warranty Repairs for certain products. Vendors may require a call to make arrangements for on-site services that they will provide. (Check the warranty information as described in the manufacturers written warranty to verify if your product qualifies.) For more information about on-site services that the UTech Service Center can provide, please call at 801 581-5458 or e-mail the UTech Service Supervisor at rlleras@campusstore.utah.edu to make arrangements.
Depot Service Available
For warranty work that the UTech Service Center is not authorized to perform, we will assist in finding a service provider that will do the work for the equipment-needing repair. Not all vendors have local service providers and the equipment may have to be sent out of state for the work to be done.
Proof of Purchase
To provide warranty work, the department or customer must provide Proof of Purchase before any services can be performed on their equipment. The Proof of Purchase is the campus order for university departments or the receipt that the equipment was purchased under if it is a personal device. (Software is not covered under warranty except the disks).
Non-Warranty Work, Installation, and Upgrades
The UTech Service Center will provide timely service for all equipment. This work will be done on-site or, in some cases, sent to a different service provider. The price will depend on the cost of parts and the service fees. For equipment that is sent out, the outside service provider's charge will be passed on to the customer. Due to special vendor equipment requirements, some of the equipment may have to be sent to other service providers. Before any equipment is sent out, we will verify that we cannot provide the service and that the equipment needs to be repaired. Due to the service providers work load and parts availability, we cannot guarantee the time it may take to have the unit fixed. Consequently, the owner of the equipment will be notified before we send it to the service provider. (We do use out of state service providers.) We will estimate all non-warranty work first, and if the customer chooses to not fix the equipment, a checkout fee will be charged.
